When the lefty retired as a player in 1967, he immediately joined the Reds radio broadcasting team. For the next 37 years, “Nuxy” was a familiar voice of the Reds, ending his broadcasts with his trademark sign-off: This is the old left-hander, rounding third and heading for home.
